STRUCTURAL STEEL WITH CLADDING
We provide both hot-rolled and cold formed steel structures with metal sheet cladding suiting JAFZA requirements. The claddings are non-toxic and of various types as industrial, composite, single skin, double skin and various other suiting to specific requirements for different client requirements.
Alpha Joint is a heavy-duty leave-in-place floor joint system with 10mm wide steel joint arris armoring , suitable for floor slabs of all depths. The unique forged steel section has work hardened sharp corners in contact with the concrete slab to prevent spalling of the arris . Incorporating a unique rigid divider plate, Alpha Joint F is up to 4x stiffer than Alpha Joint Classic, allowing straighter, truer installation. Alpha Joint F is available with a range of dowels.
THE FOLLOWING SLAB DESIGNS ARE DONE BY US
Super Flat Slabs for VNA for machineries are the slabs over which VNA vehicles can operate at optimum speed safely with minimal vibration and max productivity. A level floor was made to enable the VNAV to load the racks up to more than 7m high or more within an envelope or vertical clearance of 6.4mm only.
This type of slab was constructed in Heeded Project.
Floor Construction Methods
A ground-supported floor slab is made up of layers of materials and components. The construction method has a bearing on a number of aspects of the performance of the floor.
Large area construction - jointed
Large floors up to several thousand square meters in area can be laid in a continuous operation. Fixed forms are used only at the edges of the construction at intervals of typically 50m. Concrete is discharged into the floor area and spread either manually or by machine. After the floor has been laid and finished, it is sub-divided into panels by sawn restrained-movement joints to relieve shrinkage-induced stresses, typically on a 6m grid in both directions. Typically, these free-movement joints open by 4-5mm.
Large area construction - joint less
Joint less floors are built using large area construction methods. No joints are sawn, but steel fibres incorporated into the concrete mix control the width and distribution of cracks caused by shrinkage. However, the formed free-movement joints at the edges of each area will be wider than in floors with multiple sawn joints and will typically open by 20mm.
Long strip construction
The floor is laid in a series of strips typically 4 to 6m wide, with forms along each side. Strips can be laid alternately, with infill strips placed later. They can also be laid consecutively or between leave-in-place screed rails. With the latter method, large areas can be poured in a method similar to large area construction. Strips are laid in a continuous operation and joints are sawn transversely across each strip about 6m apart to accommodate longitudinal shrinkage. Formed free-movement joints are provided at intervals similar to those in large area jointed construction.
If geotechnical investigation indicates that ground conditions are inadequate for a ground-supported floor, the floor may be constructed on piles. In principle, any of the construction methods discussed earlier can be used, but most such floors are built with a joint less method.
DOCK LEVELLERS: We install Dock levelers which are devices used to bridge the gap between the dock and the trailer during loading and unloading. Many trailers come in with bed heights either above or below the height of the dock. Dock levelers move up or down to meet the trailer bed so that forklifts can make a smooth, safe transition into and out of the trailer.
In addition to their basic function, dock levelers can also enhance safety and productivity on the dock through a variety of design features. Different types of levelers are appropriate for different industries and/or different operations.
We have extensive experience in installing hydraulic pit type levelers, sliding type, manual type, motorized type.
FIRE PUMPS: We have experience in installing Fire pumps powered either by an electric motor or a diesel engine in most of our projects as per the project requirements. It is used for the sprinkler system in fire-fighting sprinklers. The works executed are all of NFPA standard and JAFZA approved.
LV Switch Gear: In addition to all electrical services for all most of our projects for indoor, outdoor, industrial type of requirements we also have worked in providing of low voltage switch over panels.
Insulation: - Maintaining acceptable temperatures in buildings (by heating and cooling) uses a large proportion of global energy consumption. When well insulated, a building:
- Is energy-efficient, thus saving the owner money.
- Provides more uniform temperatures throughout the space. There is less temperature gradient both vertically (between ankle height and head height) and horizontally from exterior walls, ceilings and windows to the interior walls, thus producing a more comfortable occupant environment when outside temperatures are extremely cold or hot.
- Has minimal recurring expense. Unlike heating and cooling equipment, insulation is permanent and does not require maintenance, upkeep, or adjustment.
We use the latest and the best internationally acceptable insulation materials like blankets, insulated blocks, and loose batt fills of fiberglass, mineral wool etc., foam boards & polystyrene.
